Magazine single advert analysis

Saskwatch- Soul music band

Saskwatch is a soul music group that are well known for their bright colours and stage presence. This group used their single advert to promote themselves and their new single to catch people's attention when they are turning the page of a magazine they might be reading or when they are passing by a poster on the street. This advert has different techniques to attract a persons eye, a few examples are:
  • The range of colours i.e white, light green, back and various other colours from he clothing that is warn by the artists in the band like pink, blue, red etc...
  • The bold font of the name of the band and the name of the single which is edited to stand out from all the other writing on the advert to show the consumer who they are and make it clear. The information of when the single is out is smaller than the bigger font of the name of the band and the title of the single because straight after the consumer has read the bigger font, they are automatically drawn to the smaller writing beneath which shows the consumer when the single is out so.
  • The first thing a consumer sees is the big eye catching collage of the artists and it also displays their different personalities and gives the consumer a glimpse of what the single will be like.
  • The black background helps to make the picture and writing more easier to see and more eye catching while staying bold.
